Schools

Kitchener-Waterloo is known internationally as a “smart city,” bringing out-of-the-box thinking into everyday life, and its schools are no different.

If there’s a house you’re interested in (you’ll need its street address) and you have children in K-12 you can find out here what school they would go to (public, Catholic, French Immersion, or English core), and if they’re eligible for transportation.

As a parent whose kids attended Waterloo Region District School Board elementary schools and now attend a private high school in Kitchener, and with friends’ families throughout K-Ws many schools, I’m happy to help you navigate what school would be the best fit for your family. We can set up tours for you and your child(ren) of any of the schools you’re interested in.

Our family moved many times throughout my kids’ lives (my oldest had moved 12 times by the time she was ten!) and I understand how essential the right school fit is for family well-being in a new home.

K-W is also home to some of Canada’s premier post-secondary education. The University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Conestoga College attract top students from around the world to their innovative programs.
